Radu took part in the Conference “MOVABLE PROPERTY PUBLICITY. Important, urgent and accessible” organized by the Legal Sciences Society and the Electronic Archive for Security Interests in Movable Property (AEGRM) Operators Body, at CCIR Business Center.

The theme of his presentation was “The AEGRM place after 16 years of existence”.

Thursday,  February 18^th, Radu was the guest of ZF Live  news program  to discuss on the rules governing the transfer of non-performing loans.

Radu spoke on the conditions the banks are required to observe when transferring the claims resulting from NPLs to companies which are not associated with the banking system.

Radu takes part in the ALB National Conference, Eleventh Edition, entitled “Future of the Financial Services at the crossroad of the Intelligent Technologies with the Responsible Crediting” organized by Asociația Societăților Financiare on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Intercontinental Bucuresti Hotel.

Under the third Session of the Conference, Radu will have a presentation on the “Love and hate relationship – Leasing and Insolvency”

Radu took part in the Conference “20 ans et le temps du droit” organized in the period 6 – 7 November 2015 by the College Juridique franco-roumain d’etoudes europeennes, the Faculty of Law of the Bucharest University and the Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Radu had a presentation entitled “After 20 years: the unification of the security interest law in Romania”, speaking on the process of reforming the Romanian law on security interest during the last 20 years.

Radu published at Universul Juridic ed. the book “The security agreement in the New Civil Code”. The book provides an insight into the matter of security agreement (including movable and immovable collateral) and contains inter alia comments on the terms and conditions of the security agreement and the common terms of security law.

The M&A team of Rizoiu & Asociații, coordinated by Lucian Poenaru, assisted the same private medical services operator specialised in medical imagistic in a new top transaction: taking over of four new diagnostic centres. Through this transaction, we helped our client to extend its presence on the local market, consolidating its position of leader on the imagistic diagnostic medical services and nuclear medicine market in Romania

Lucian Poenaru published at the C.H. Beck ed. the book “Copyright protection under criminal law”. The book deals with the issues related to the criminal liability for the infringement of copyright and contains, among others, analysis concerning plagiarism, piracy, databases and computer programs protection.

The Rizoiu & Asociatii team, coordinated by Lucian Poenaru and formed of the lawyers Mihaela Gherghe, Diana Savu and Andreea Mihai, assisted an important private Medical Imagistics center in taking over three profile medical centers in Oltenia. The team offered complex legal assistance to the buyer, consisting in the structuring of the transaction, the due diligence of the object company, drafting and negotiating the transaction documents and the formalities related to the finalizing of the transfer.

Radu takes part in the International Conference “Current legal issues in the banking and finance domain” organized by the European Association for Banking and Finance law in Romania, “Dimitrie Cantemir” University, the Banking and Finance Legal Counsels Association and Wolters Kluwer Romania, on 27 – 30 May, 2015. On May 28th, under the fourth session of the Conference, Radu will speak on “All or nothing: on the value of the mortgage”.

On 28-29 May 2015, Consiliul Superior al Magistraturii and Norway Grants are organizing the conference on aspects of non-unitary jurisprudence occurred after the entry into force of the new Civil Code and the New Code of Civil Procedure, under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 Project “Strengthening the capacity of the Romanian judicial system to face new legislative and institutional challenges”. In the second day of the conference, Radu will have a presentation on “How many (regular) mortgage contracts are regulated by the new Civil Code? On mortgage contracts”

Radu takes part in the debate “As if nothing ever happened: restitutio in integrum”, organized by juridice.ro, which will takes place at CCIR Business Center, 8th floor, Ninel Chiriacescu Hall, Monday, March 9, 2015, 20:00 hours.

Radu takes part in the symposium “Creditors vs. Debtors – the Hexagon perspective”, organized by the Faculty of Law of the Cluj-Napoca University and the “Henri Capitant” Association, on April 24, 2015, where he will speak on the “In rem Pledge – when the mortgage does not follow the loan”.

Rizoiu & Asociații and Răzvan Dincă & Asociații organized the conference “Current legal issues in banking practice” Thursday, October 3rd, took place at Hotel Pullman, the conference “Current legal issues in banking practice”, organized by Rizoiu & Asociații and Răzvan Dincă & Asociații, occasioning the meeting of the most important representatives of the banking services in Romania with representatives of public authorities implicated in the current regulations review process. Beside the organizing law firms, in the conference spoke Mr. Alexandru Păunescu, Head of the Legal Department of National Bank of Romania, Mrs. Claudia Roșianu from the Ministry of Justice Normative Acts Drafting Direction, as well as Mrs. Adriana Ahciarliu, General Manager of the Financial Companies Association.

On 14 and 15 June 2013, at the Chamber of Public Notaries Brasov, is held the conference on the New Civil Code and the New Civil Procedure Code, in which Radu speaks on “The enforceable character of the security agreements. Conflict of laws”

Radu is lecturing on the Content of mortgage agreement in the New Civil Code, in the conference held under the Romanian – Swiss project “Assistance for institutional quality consolidation in judges’ and prosecutors’ tutoring for the appliance of the new laws” at the National Institute of Magistracy.

Radu received the “Certificate of Contribution” presented by The World Justice Project in appreciation of his contribution to The World Justice Project: Rule of Law Index© 2012 – 2013 report. The WJP Rule of Law Index® is an assessment tool that offers a comprehensive picture of adherence to the rule of law. The Index and its findings have been referenced in major global media and stimulated discussions and actions on the rule of law in countries around the world as supporting evidence of the need to advance rule of law reforms in such countries. Radu is one of the contributing experts who helped develop the report, which is a product of five years of intensive development, testing, and vetting – including interviewing members of the general public and experts in 97 countries.
